Cave Entrances - Crayback Effects on Stalagmites - Pictures
Craybacks in Victoria Arch | |
---|---|
A crayback in Victoria Arch is a bird shape. |
This one has coral pipes developing near the base. The view is from the "dark side". |
Craybacks in Abercrombie Arch | |
Crayback lit from two directions. |
This is lit with subdued daylight on one side, and tungsten lamps on the other side, resulting in an interesting effect. The managers at Abercrombie Caves have set the lights on a timer, to prevent lampenflora from overwhelming the stalagmites and ruining the effect. I think the timer for this one is about a minute, then the lights cut off and the crayback is only lit with natural subdued light. |
